CCTC is a Non-Governmental Organization based in Canada who coordinates action against the tobacco epidemic. CCTC mission is to disseminate information in an effective manner to diminish the adverse impact on the health of Individuals

Problem CCTC website is a content managed site which enables them to publish relevant information quickly and effectively. The tool used for content management is Plone CMS . CCTC needed some additional functionality to be built into the system like forums, surveys, document library etc which was not available in the existing system. The new functionality had to be built into the existing system without letting the user having to learn two systems.
Solution EcommIT designed an application using the XIBOS framework which integrated well into the Plone administrative interface. A single sign-on protocol was designed to ensure that user needs to login only once to work on both the systems. EcommIT team worked along with Plone engineers to understand and develop a system which would work seamlessly with the CMS.

The requirement study was done at the client location in Canada and the development and testing was carried out from the offshore location in India.
